Welcome back my goofy gallivanters. Have I got some strange comics for you this week!
But first—Let’s get down to business.123
When I first started this Substack I created some recurring segments for y’all.
Over the past couple of months, I have fallen off the bandwagon.
My OG subscribers very kindly did not call me out on my bullshit. You are all gems, thank you.
Moving forward I will be re-mounting this theoretical wagon with 🥁drumroll🥁
“Diary Comic #3: Help! I’m Trapped In My Head!”
Soon to be worth zero dollars in comic book shops everywhere!
Speaking of zero dollars— I’m going to keep this newsletter ✨free forever✨ for my nerdy, weirdo community— but I would absolutely love to post weekly again if I could.
I had to go bi-weekly because I couldn’t justify the time it takes to write and illustrate these posts when I really should be surviving capitalism.
While I haven’t calculated what I’d need to do this yet, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to share that supporting me and this Substack is an option… that would make me piddle with aspirational glee.
You know what?!…
♥Anyone who signs up for a paid subscription from today through Feb 13th will receive a special thank you comic on Valentine’s Day!♥
Alright, enough piddling.
Here is…
Diary Comic #1: “Help! I’m Trapped In My Head!”
…I’ve always been a daydreamer.
As a kid, it was nice—a literal dream! But somewhere along the way, my daydreams of talking dogs and superheroes turned into something darker.
It was a slow change.
So slow I didn’t realize my dreamland had been infected until it was too late. By the time my dreams had turned to nightmares, I had already spent most my life inside my head.
I didn’t remember the outside world. Suddenly I realized… I couldn’t get out.
(Whoosky?)4
To be continued…
(Only because Substack told me I’m breaking the email length limit. Lol.)
Finish the story here: Diary Comic #3, Part 2/2
Listening to:
(Mutters under breath) “… to defeat the Huns.”
“Did they send me daughters?!… When I asked… for sooonnnnsss!”
Ok, but really, just two things.
Boosky was one of my first recurring comic characters. I made comics about him from ‘93-’96.
Love your illustration style!
I really hope Boosky pulls through. Even becoming a skeleton won't keep a good dog down for long.
