Hello, and welcome: To Monday.
A day of communal trauma. You did it! You survived the “Sunday Scaries”: Or “Sunday Funday” if you’re one of those extroverted optimists I’ve read about in fantasy novels.
How was your weekend?
Oh, mine? I don’t know yet, because I write these articles on Friday. Sorry to hear you’re living in Monday when I’m out here thriving in Friday.
I don’t mean to sound rude, but you really should have tried harder to alter the fabric of space and time.
Speaking of space and time (what a segue) —
I’ve decided on some recurring segments for my Substack!
I will be breaking down my future Substack posts into 4 different segments to fill out a typical month; delivered to you toasty and fresh every Monday morning— like a blessed turd.
Each segment will be shared once every 4 weeks, in this order:
1. Diary comics
The goofy slice-of-life bread and butter you know me for. Expect a reliable dose of immature drawings, sent straight to your dirty little inbox.
2. Artist Inspo / Fresh Finds
Once a month I will be sharing either art or an artist that has inspired me. Nothing can get me rambling more than my special interests, so STRAP UP in your best strap-on and get ready for some giddy enthusiasm and fangirling.
Artist Inspo will feature art or an artist that has been an inspiration to me that already have some degree of exposure.
Fresh Finds will be the same idea, except I will be featuring art or an artist that I wouldn’t expect many people to be familiar with.
3. Wild Card!
I will be sharing anything! ANYTHING! Maybe it’ll be a written humor piece, or maybe some behind-the-scenes art. Or maybe I’ll just spam you with some oozy, unfettered feelings.
4. Sketchbook Exposé
Once a month I will expose myself, like the raving exhibitionist I aspire to be. My sketchbooks have always felt as vulnerable as diaries to me. Any time someone peeks over my shoulder as I doodle in my sketchbook I feel like someone is peeping in through my bedroom window. And as much as I’ve historically recoiled at the idea of someone seeing my hentai drawings — I MEAN, harmless doodles — I completely understand the joy of looking through someone’s sketchbook. So hopefully this will be an enjoyable foray into voyeurism for all my curious little freaks.
See you next Monday with my first segment: Diary comics!
