You think I'm joking about that pregnancy pillow, but I will burn it and consume the ashes

consuming the ashes is an interesting choice.

I think you might love the pregnancy pillow.

I know she loves you, she told me so.

I’ve lived with chronic acid reflux since I was 22 and I can talk to you about it extensively if you ever need to !

oh shit, that sucks! I'm so sorry!

What are you best strategies for managing it?!

Is it liquifying a bottle of tums and drinking it straight from a hydro flask? Bcs I'm ready to take that leap (not ready to moderate my diet tho).

WAT?!

I guess I can't be surprised that anything I jokingly mention has already, actually been invented.

I have not had it yet! Is this... a recommendation?

Do you have any proximity to ‘that preg life’? Friends, family, personal?

Been through it twice- there is so much no one tells you and then stuff people do but it doesn’t register.

Do you have any methods for fostering community where you live?

Online, invite people over, little random interactive things in front of the house. I mostly have this little tree dispenser with stickers and treats anyone can take. One time my youngest put a poster out and asked people to design their own cupcake - so many people drew on it - it was so fun to see.

Once you have kids, so many communities open up.

What is family to you? Blood, chosen, community, or something else entirely?

100% chosen - so important with all the family dysfunction in the world ;)

Hi Mitchell! I totally agree that our digital world seems to exacerbate our isolation.

I know it can also be a great tool for connection, but that seems less prevalent-- at least on an in-person level.

Congrats on 7 kids, damn! And congrats to your partners!

I'm glad to hear alll the little-un's turned out lovely-- that is the dream!

I've actually always loved inviting non-relatives to holiday dinners! Always a pleasure and feels so right! Excited to keep doing it... FOREVER!
