"Time is the substance from which I am made. Time is a river which carries me along, but I am the river; it is a tiger that devours me, but I am the tiger; it is a fire that consumes me, but I am the fire. I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library." Jorge Luis Borges

My husband is a huge Borges fan and I love this quote, thank you for sharing David!

I should really give his collected fictions another go.

"shut up minion!!" is pretty damn funny and i don't even get it....maybe the radio looks like a minion?? yeah i can just FEEL the empathy oozing out eyeballing neighbor ankle deep in monsoon water while slurping on that herbal tea hahah

it's my breast pump that's calling me it's minion!

but it does look like a radio, haha. almost even specifically the radio from the brave little toaster.

also, yes, I feel so bad for my neighbor *puts on extra cozy layer and sips bedtime tea*

thank you so much Kenshō!

it definitely does take a crazy amount of time and is kind of a crazy way to spend a day, but I'm always excited for hourly comic day every year anyway.

mostly because of how many other cartoonists participate and I get to see an unexpected window into so many people's lives.

of course!! I'm so glad you liked it!

HCD is every Feb 1st, I'd recommend putting it in your calendar, that's the only way I remember myself. :D

after 30+ years since my children were born, this resonates. When our children were born, Marcia was running a business from home and I was helping her yet commuting to teach taking additional music gigs and go ing to graduate school. It was an endless exercise in trading roles (except for breast milk). I'd like to say that after all this time it seemed not so bad, but it was really hard. However, some of the most enduring sweet memories still rattle through my brain. Like making cheap but pretty Christmas ornaments by dipping them into the bathtub filled with water and swirled paint and then having to spend hours scrubbing the tub. Stoopid shit like that really makes me smile.

Aw, I love that memory you shared about the tub! I can very much imagine doing something like that myself.

I'm so excited for next Christmas when my beebee will actually be able to appreciate the decorations!

This last year she was less than a month old and could barely open her eyes.

My husband and I are definitely still finding out new normal, but we're so excited for every step of our baby's progress. It's really so much cooler than I expected!

It goes so fast. One of the perks about being a writer is to keep those stories alive as text, you will have the chance to keep the stories alive as comics, that is so awesome.

I think about this all the time (writing to keep stories alive)!

I'm kind of obsessed with documenting my life, which is a blessing and a curse. Curse because sometimes I struggle to live in the moment because of it. 😅
