Im surviving by going outside despite the cold and ice. Even ran in a snowfall yesterday and caught flakes with my eyelashes.
Decided that since the weather has slowed everything anyway, Id quit caffeine. It was a process, but Im good now. Gonna do 2 weeks of abstinence, then try a weak cup of green tea.
It was very hard to focus for 2 days when I cut back to one cup of tea per day, and then I had another rough two days went I went caffeine free. But this is coming off of 15 years of caffeine with no breaks. Was drinking about ~5 cups of double strength black tea everyday recently. Slower would have been smarter, but Im glad I feel normal without it again. No headaches.
You are not ignorant at all. Running with snow falling was magical, and its why I chose to run. Had already talked myself out of it, but couldnt resist my romanticized idea of running in falling snow. Theres this level of quiet outside that only comes with snow which is also magical. I recently wrote about this but had to cut it from the story.
always enjoy the drawings 😊
for some reason i thought you were over by Oakland...any rate stay safe
and warm
Thank you, Appleton. :) <3
I did used to live in Oakland!
You probably got that idea from my "Pipe Dreams" diary comics, which I made when I was living there 7-10 years ago.

Ohhhhhhh, damn! congrats on cutting out caffeine! That's a baller move.
I really should join you on that front.
2 weeks of abstinence sounds smart to kind of reset before dabbling in a very light version again.
I might be on the opposite path right now though because I doubled up on my caffeine today to MUCH REGRET.
Running in a snowfall sounds kind of lovely?
Is it or am I just the most ignorant Californian, ever?
