IT’S AUTUMN MOTHA FUCKASSSSSSSS!
In due respect for the season I am:
Listening to an “autumn vibes” Spotify playlist
Sippin’ my cinnamon dusted coffee, and
Wearing a sweater with lots of cats on it.
I have also been drawing my patio a lot lately, so please enjoy this collection I shall call:
Patio Retrospective (2024)

CHECK OUT MY NEWEST NEW YORKER PIECE!
You can read the rest of the comic here.
I would share the whole thing here, but I’m not allowed to!
If you’ve been following my Substack (or my Instagram), you’ll probably know I haven’t been pregnant since November of last year.
So, the reason why this comic was published over a year later is because after I wrote and drew it I…
✨let it sit on my desk for 6 months out of pointless self-doubt before submitting it✨
And if I’m being completely honest, I have probably 5 or so finished pieces I continue to not submit for similar reasons.
I DON’T KNOW WHY I’M LIKE THIS.
But hopefully it’s relatable for any of you out there who struggle with self-doubt.
Quick Substack Update:
I think I’m going to table my recurring segments for a bit.
I’ve committed to my recurring segments for the past 2 years and I haven’t recently felt like they’ve been serving me as much, so I’m going to attempt a looser structure moving forward.
THROWIN’ IT ALL TO THE WIND!
TBD, but just thought I’d let you know.
Comments (Let’s Chat!):
Have you watched “Over The Garden Wall”?
Do you make art/work then just let it fester out of self-doubt?
Making art/work is the easy part. Submitting it, to most likely be rejected is the hard part. Agree/disagree?
Does anyone have any strategies that come to mind to break free of this nonsense?

The increasingly wacky progression was so delightful.
Good morning from foggy Seattle. Thanks another helping of self doubt… I haven’t seen
“Over The Garden Wall” yet. Will try to remember to.
As a performing artist, I’ve been avoiding the stage for several years now for a variety of “reasons”… We could have a long conversation.
And, fyi a writer friend in Montana used to paper the inside of his outhouse with rejection letters.
